This pattern is not for the faint-hearted, it’s noted as including quarter-stitch blackwork, and the filler patterns are just a notation of what I used. It takes some extrapolation, which I know isn’t normal in a pattern, but I wanted to share because he’s just so pretty and amazing and lovely.

I actually modified my own pattern and did full stitches rather than half/quarters so he’s twice the size the pattern suggests. Once you get in the habit of counting full stitches rather than halves it makes sense but it is a thought process. Also, if the colours are in two places in the same block, extrapolate one of them out, don’t assume I put the second block in the right place.

Please let me know if you do make it, I’d love to see other’s takes on it!!
